Rising Star Ideas, LLC ("Rising Star Ideas," "we," "us," or "our") is an AI marketing strategy and consulting firm based in Columbia, Maryland. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through risingstarideas.com (the "Site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
This policy applies to the Site, our contact and inquiry forms, the AI Readiness Scorecard, and the emails we send. By using the Site or submitting your information, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or submit your information.
We collect information in three ways: what you give us through forms, what you give us through the AI Readiness Scorecard, and what is collected automatically when you browse the Site.
Contact and inquiry forms. When you fill out a form on the Site, we collect the details you provide. These typically include your name, email address, phone number, company or organization, job title, the service you are interested in, and anything you write in a message field.
AI Readiness Scorecard. When you complete the scorecard, we collect your contact details, your answers to each question, and the score and results generated from those answers. Your answers may describe your organization, such as its size, industry, current tools, and marketing or AI practices.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers collect technical data through cookies and similar technologies. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location based on IP address, referring website, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits.
Communications. If you contact us or book a call, we keep a record of that communication and any scheduling details.
We do not ask for sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information through the Site. Please do not submit it.
We use the information we collect to run our business and respond to you. Specifically, we use it to:

We are an AI consulting firm, but we do not use artificial intelligence tools to process the personal information you submit through the Site, and we do not send it to third-party AI providers. If that changes, we will update this policy before we do.
If you submit a form, complete the scorecard, or subscribe on the Site, we may send you emails about our services, AI and marketing insights, events, and offers.
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also opt out by submitting the contact form at risingstarideas.com/contact. We honor opt-out requests within 10 business days, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act.
After you unsubscribe from marketing, we may still send transactional messages. Examples include a reply to a question you asked, your scorecard results, or details about an active engagement.
Our emails may use small tracking images and tagged links that tell us whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. We use this to measure which content is useful.
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to work properly, remember your preferences, and measure traffic. A cookie is a small file stored on your device by your browser.

Tools we use. The Site is built and hosted on HighLevel (GoHighLevel), which sets cookies to operate forms, the scorecard, and visitor tracking. We also use Google Analytics to measure traffic. Google may collect data about your visits to this Site and other sites over time.
Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the Site may not work correctly if you do. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
The Site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because no common standard for them has been adopted.
We share personal information only in the limited situations below. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We may publish or share aggregated scorecard findings that do not identify any person or organization.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. Form and scorecard data is kept while we have an active relationship or a reasonable business reason to stay in contact, and then deleted or anonymized.
We keep opt-out and consent records for as long as needed to honor your choices and meet legal requirements. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, as described below.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by Maryland law and any other applicable law.
You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. You can also ask to see it, correct it, or receive a copy.
How to make a request.
What happens next. We may ask for more detail to verify your identity before acting on a request. We respond within 30 days. When we delete your information, we remove it from our CRM and marketing lists and instruct our service providers to do the same.
What we may keep. We may retain limited information where the law requires or permits it. Examples include records of transactions, records needed to resolve disputes, and a record of your opt-out so we do not contact you again.
Other choices. You can unsubscribe from emails with the link in any message and control cookies through your browser. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these choices.
The Site is operated in the United States and intended for people located in the United States. Depending on the state you live in, you may have additional privacy rights under state law. Contact us and we will honor the rights that apply to you.
The Site is intended for business professionals who are 18 years of age or older. It is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
The Site may link to websites and tools we do not operate, including our own separate products and social media profiles. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date at the top. Material changes to how we use personal information will be highlighted on the Site.
